We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced entrepreneurial leader to drive and scale our Sharing Library Platform – as a spin-out, and in tandem with Library of Things, our place-based operations and social movement.

At Library of Things, we’ve designed and developed this SaaS+ platform in-house over the last few years, to power our own London-wide operations.

No other digital platform can power place-based sharing libraries in our uniquely community-led, user-friendly and impact-driven way.

We realised this Platform also has huge appeal with other organisations wanting to deliver their net zero and circular goals – whether local governments, housing developers, universities, community businesses, corporate retailers or product manufacturers.

So we recently started piloting a licensing business – licensing our Platform to other organisations to power their own sharing libraries.

The Platform now has:

• a pipeline of 500+ inbound enquiries from around the world
• one licensee already live: a national sharing library network; a second licensee launching soon: a housing provider with aligned impact goals
• expressions of interest from a variety of use cases and contexts

We anticipate the Platform could evolve to have a new trading name and visual identity to differentiate it from Library of Things’ place-based operations. It’s our intention that there’s a strong permanent & symbiotic relationship between the two organisations.

Who are we looking for?

We’re looking for an experienced, purpose-led leader to spearhead this licensing business, working with the existing team to grow it to a scaled impact business.

Your main focus initially will be converting the most aligned & highest potential strategic partners in our pipeline.

While you focus on the pipeline, your co-CEO will be co-founder Sophia, who focuses on the team & culture.

You may have founded a company previously, or played a leadership role in growing one from the early stages.

What really matters is that you can demonstrate:

• Considerable business development & strategic partnership experience - do you have proven strategies for growing and commercialising a product? For converting warm leads into passionate customers? Have you secured contracts with significant trading revenue & developed strategic partnerships with £100k+ in value?
  • desirable: experience working with councils, retailers, & property owners; experience with licensing or SaaS products
• Entrepreneurial energy – have you directly been involved in building something?
• Strong narrative skills – can you tell a story authentically so that it inspires others?
• Pitching experience – can you connect to people and build meaningful relationships to support the mission?
  • desirable: fundraising – have you previously raised equity investment?
