ℹ️ Some Angle Grinders have a different kind of locking nut (Outer Flange Nut) that doesn’t require a pin wrench. This quick release flange is loosened and tightened by hand. See the video below.

❗
The Blade Guard (d) must be attached correctly
- Make sure it is attached securely with the least amount of wheel exposed to the operator.
- If you need to adjust the position of the Blade Guard (if you are working at an unusual angle for example) - unscrew the nut holding it on wit the Hex Key (f) and rotate the guard around to the required position - then tighten it up securely again. NB some models have a button that you press and do not require a hex key.

❗
Use the correct Disc for the job
- For example - do not use the Cutting Disc for grinding or the Grinding Disc for cutting, and use only discs specified for metal on metal and specified for stone on stone

- Attach your chosen Disc:
Variant 1: Using a pin Wrench. We recommend wearing suitable handling gloves to do this.
- With the Battery (m) removed hold the Spindle Lock Button (b) and unscrew the Outer Flange Nut (i) with the Pin Wrench (g) Then you can remove the currently installed Disc.
- The Inner Flange Nut (h) will be positioned underneath with the edge containing the red 0 ring facing up. Make sure the 0 ring in here is present and intact.
- Now mount your chosen Disc (o/p) while being careful that the Disc is sat evenly and that you don’t cross thread the Outer Flange Nut (i)
- Tighten the Outer Flange Nut (i) with the Pin Wrench again whilst continuing to hold the Spindle Lock Button (b) and ensuring that there is no play between the Mounting Holes, Outer Flange Nut (i) , Inner Flange Nut (h) and the Disc. Afterwards check the Disc can spin freely in the direction of rotation.
Variant 2: Using a Quick Release Flange - if fitted:

ℹ️ Spinning Direction Arrow
If using a Diamond Cutting Disc make sure that the Spinning Direction Arrow(s) on the Disc point in the same direction to the Spinning Direction Arrow on the Angle Grinder itself

- Clamp Your Workpiece . If it doesn’t maintain stationary due to its own weight clamp it to a secure table using the G Clamps (q) that come included with your borrow. Be sure it is in a position that is comfortable to work with that allows you to cut away from yourself.
- Attach or reposition the Detachable Side Handle (e) if necessary. It can be attached on either the left or right hand side of the Angle Grinder to suit your requirements.
- Attach the Battery (m). It just slides in under the Angle Grinder.
